Strengthening Sustainable Development in Juru Sector: Visit by Her Excellency Ambassador Heike Uta Dattmann and Bugesera Mayor Richard MUTABAZI

The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Rwanda, her Excellency Heike Uta Dettmann together with Mayor of Bugesera Mr. Rischard MUTABAZI, visited Katarara Secondary School located in Nyamata, Juru Sector, for the official inauguration of a newly established IT classrom. Supported by Germany Embassy in Rwanda. The project was implemented by Sustainable village foundation.


The event was warmly received by students, parents, and school staff, who expressed appreciation for the strong partnership between Rwanda and Germany. This collaboration has facilitated the provision of modern computers and improved access to digital learning resources for students.


Mayor Mutabazi expressed his gratitude to the Government of Germany for its ongoing support. He highlighted the strong and longstanding cooperation between Rwanda and Germany in multiple sectors. He further encouraged both students and teachers to make effective use of the IT classroom to promote innovation, technological advancement, and academic excellence.



In her remarks, the Ambassador reaffirmed Germany’s continued commitment to supporting Rwanda across various sectors, particularly in education. She encouraged students to actively engage in their studies, especially in information technology, and to strive toward becoming skilled professionals who can contribute to the country’s sustainable development.

Following the inauguration, the Ambassador visited an Agriculture Aggregation center and cold storage facility operated by Sustainable Village foundation and Caritas Rwanda in Juru Sector. Where she was introduced to various community activities, including women's saving groups. Her visit concluded by glancing at all those three projects that promotes Rwandans sustainable development and well -being of women.  



 By closing, Rwandans we cannot miss thanking Her Excellency Heike Uta Dettmann for her visit in eastern province, and Mayor Richard Mutabazi as good and active Mayor of Bugesera who seeks for the greatest good for bugesera and its citizens; for the opportunities that promote sustainable development in Bugesera  District.
