The Hidden Ink

Transparency is the quiet force that holds relationships, organizations, and societies together. It is the willingness to share truth openly, to make decisions visible, and to communicate intentions clearly. When transparency exists, trust grows naturally because people understand not only what is happening, but why it is happening. It reduces confusion, prevents rumors, and creates accountability. In workplaces, families, and governments alike, transparency encourages collaboration, strengthens credibility, and builds a foundation where honesty becomes the norm rather than the exception. Yet not everyone chooses to act transparently. Some people hide information to maintain control, avoid criticism, or protect their own interests. Individuals who lack transparency often display secrecy, defensiveness, and selective communication. They may withhold key details, provide vague explanations, or shift blame when questioned. Often, fear drives this behavior fear of failure, exposure, ...

In East Africa , there is a virus that cannot be seen. It does not cause fever. It does not cause coughing. But it divides people. This virus is called ethnicity used as a weapon . Markets are full. Buses are running. Children go to school. But beneath this normal life, there is a silent fear. The fear of the other. The fear of the one who does not have the same name, the same language, the same origin. How the virus begins At first, ethnicity was not a problem. It gave identity, culture, and history. People lived together, traded, and married each other. But with colonization , everything changed. The colonizers separated the peoples. They said: this group is different, this group is better. They created division. After independence, this division remained. Leaders realized they could gain power by speaking about ethnicity. They said: vote for me, I am like you. Little by little, ethnicity became a political weapon . The spread The virus spreads especially during times of crisis...

Between Diplomacy and the Brink: The Iran–U.S. Crisis

Image
Over the past weeks, tensions between Iran and the United States have surged to one of their most dangerous levels in years. This is not a sudden flare-up, but the culmination of long-running strategic, political, and military disagreements especially over Iran’s nuclear ambitions and the broader balance of power in the Middle East. A Fragile Diplomatic Dance Both Tehran and Washington have been engaging in indirect nuclear talks aimed at preventing a larger conflict. Recent rounds held in Geneva resulted in what Iranian officials called an understanding on some guiding principles, although major disagreements remain, especially over ballistic missiles and nuclear enrichment limits.  The Guardian Iran’s foreign ministry has signaled a willingness to draft a deal proposal, seeing diplomacy as preferable to war and American voices in Washington have also stressed that a treaty is still possible.  Financial Times Yet, beneath the diplomatic veneer lies deep mistrust. When the Road Forgets Its Horizon

Image
You walk as though the road will never end. Every day, you rush forward, building, competing, arguing, defending, proving. You polish our names, guard our pride, and chase recognition as if the journey itself were permanent. Yet quietly, gently, the horizon waits for all of you. Human beings have a remarkable talent for forgetting the end of the journey. You live as though time is endless, as though tomorrow is guaranteed, as though the sunset is a rumor instead of a promise. And in that forgetting, something delicate is often lost, dignity, humility, and peace toward one another. When you forget the end, ego grows louder. You argue to win rather than to understand. You speak to dominate rather than to connect. You measure success in applause rather than in kindness. But if You remembered truly remembered; that every path concludes, would you still choose pride over compassion? The awareness of life’s end is not meant to frighten us. It is meant to refine us. A traveler who knows the r...

The Memory as Warning Light

Image
Lucky Philip Dube was born on the 3rd of August in 1964. After a few failed pregnancies attempts by his mother Sarah, Lucky came into the world. Giving birth to a boy was considered a blessing and his mother considered his birth so fortunate that she aptly named him ‘Lucky’. His birth took place on a small farm outside the town of Ermelo, a dry, unspectacular area some 150 kilometers west of Johannesburg. Born into a single parent family, times were tough for a black boy born into poverty and with the Group Areas Act and the Pass Laws of the time, many families relocation was restricted, therefore children grew up not knowing their fathers at all, as they were often forced to leave home to find work in the cities. Lucky’s parents had separated before he was born. His mother relocated to find work, leaving Lucky and his siblings Thandi and Patrick to be cared for by his devoted and steadfast grandmother. Unfortunately for Sarah, work was scarce and survival became her objective as she t...

Echo of The Upright

Image
Long ago, in the rolling hills of ancient Rwanda, there lived a people renowned for their integrity. The elders spoke often of men and women whose words were as sturdy as the hills and whose actions reflected the clarity of their hearts. In those days, promises were sacred, and justice was not something written on paper but lived in every choice. It was said that a man of integrity could walk through the village at night and leave no shadow of doubt behind him. Families taught their children that truth, once broken, was a crooked path that could never be made straight again. Among the villagers, there was a craftsman named Kamanzi, who was famous not only for his skill in carving wood but for the honesty with which he traded. His hands shaped the finest stools and shields, yet he never accepted more than a fair price, nor did he cheat in measurement. One day, a stranger came to the village, offering gold in exchange for a series of carvings. Many villagers, tempted by the glitter...
