Pride and Truth

Pride and truth often walk side by side, yet they rarely see eye to eye. Pride whispers that we are always right, that our perspective alone is enough, while truth quietly waits to be seen in its full depth. The tension between them shapes how we grow, how we love, and how we live. Pride gives us confidence, but when effect unchecked, it blinds us to reality. It makes us defend illusions instead of seeking understanding. Truth, on the other hand, asks us to look inward to question, to listen, and to accept even the parts of ourselves we’d rather hide.

In a world that rewards certainty, humility can feel like weakness. Yet it is humility, not pride, that allows truth to take root. When we let go of the need to always be right, we create space for learning and honesty. Relationships deepen, creativity expands, and mistakes become lessons instead of wounds. Truth is not about winning arguments or proving worth; it’s about seeing clearly and acting with integrity, even when it’s uncomfortable.

My perspective is that pride and truth are not enemies but teachers. Pride shows us where we cling too tightly to image or ego, while truth reminds us of what really matters. Balancing the two is the art of being human enough to stand tall, yet wise enough to bow when needed. In that balance, we find authenticity the kind of quiet strength that doesn’t need to boast, because it lives in truth

Solo.
