When Peace Becomes Global Nightmare

Peace has been long seen as the ultimate dream of humanity, a state where wars end, conflicts fade, and nations coexist without fear. History and current events reveal a haunting paradox. Sometimes the pursuit of peace, or even its fragile existence, can give rise to new nightmare.

Peace is often painted as silence after chaos, but silence is not always harmony. When powerful nations broker peace agreement without addressing root causes, such as inequality, exploitation, or systemic injustice, they built fragile structures that may collapse at first tremor. In such case, peace becomes little more than pause button on violence.

Global power often uses peace as a tool of influence. treaties, intervention, and negotiations can disguise deeper agendas, control over resources, geopolitical dominance, or ideological expansion. For those living under imposed settlements, peace may feel like surrender, not freedom. What world applauds as a resolution might actually be a nightmare for communities stripped of self-determination.

Perhaps the darkest nightmare of global peace is indifference. A world too eager to maintain the image stability may overlook oppression, Genocide, or humanitarian crisis because acknowledging them threatens the illusion of order. Silence becomes complicity, and peace becomes a mask worn by global leaders to hide injustice. so, it's time to rise for peace not war.
